Improvised compositions for the 150 years old pipe organ in Nyord kirke on the island "Møn", Denmark. Surrounded by a bird sanctuary and the ocean a little pipe organ stands on top of a hill in a small church at Nyord village. The pipe organ has no foot pedal for the bass notes. Instead it has a set of pedals for the use of changing stops and voices. When in between stops, a lot of hearable air runs through the pipes and you can improvise with that while playing notes on the keyboard.
The compositions are abstract noise improvisations which creates drone like build-ups.

About the project "Ø-Værker for Små danske Orgler":
A research and investigation into the spirit of the organs' inner machinery.
The works revolve around small churches on sparsely populated Danish islands. We have spent days in the churches, exploring every corner of the buildings and experiencing the rooms as sensuous spaces. The recordings are close-miked and contains artifacts, fluctuations, harmonics and audible wastes of air from the pipes when changing the voices.
